The Rules

Questing

  • DIFFICULTY
    • Hard is the lowest lvl of difficulty allowed.
    • Quests are ran 2 lvls under adjusted lvl for elite or reaper. A base lvl 3 quest is lvl 5 on elite. (i.e. quests ran on hard must be done at least 2 lvls under base.)
    • Quests are ran 3 lvls under adjusted lvl for hard. A base lvl 3 quest is lvl 4 on hard. (i.e. quests ran on elite must be done at base lvl or lower.)
    • Reaper counts as elite + skull# for the purpose of lvls. A base lvl 3 quest is lvl 6 on 1 skull. (i.e. quests ran on reaper must be done at base lvl + skull# or lower.)
    • Solos may be ran at-lvl.
    • Exception: The lvl 1 quests may be ran on hard.

  • PARTY POLICY
    • Max party size is 4 characters for regular quests. Raid party max size is 12.
    • There may be a maximum of 3 lvls difference beween the highest lvl toon in the party and the lowest (e.g. a lvl 1 can run with a lvl 4 but not a lvl 5).
    • Lvl 20+ characters cannot run with characters below lvl 20.
    • All parties must have at least one scout with at minimum an appropriate spot and search. Scout must have at least one lvl of Rog or Arty.
    • Hirelings may not be used.
    • Don’t dual-box.
    • You may not join a group that has already shrined.

  • CHEST POLICY
    • Each member can only get one non-weapon random gen item per quest.
    • They are allowed to look into each chest they come across.
    • Once a chest is open, each person must decide if he/she will take an item from that chest.
    • If taken, that will be the only random gen loot received for the quest (including end rewards).
    • Chests opened cannot be revisited (“use or lose”). This policy extends to random gen (green-bordered) items that fall out of a breakable.

  • SHRINING POLICY
    • Every other shrine may be used per quest.
    • If one person shrines, everyone shrines.

  • STANDARD RERUN POLICY
    • In order to rerun quests, it must be ran on a higher difficulty or the majority (>50%) of the party must not have ran the quest.
    • Quests may only be reran with rewards twice, and it must be documented in the bio.
    • Reaper counts as the same difficulty regardless of skulls (i.e. you cannot rerun if a majority of the party has run a quest on reaper).
    • Exception: Quests within a chain may be reran if at least one person who intends to finish the chain has not run the quest.

  • EXCEPTIONAL RERUN POLICY
    • If none of the conditions above are met, then a quest may be reran if at least one person in the group hasn’t run it.
      • It must be ran on elite difficulty or harder.
      • All characters who have already completed the quest may not take any items or consumables (to include end rewards) but may pick up currency.

  • EXPLORER POLICY
    • Explorers may only be used as a means of getting to a quest.
    • They may not be ran for experience or loot.
    • Any items incidentally found in an explorer may not be kept.

  • EVENTS & CHALLENGES
    • You may not participate in events or challenges for any xp, favor, or loot.

  • REENTRY & RESCUE
    • If someone leaves the quest, the quest must be completed without them or must be reset.
    • A singular rescue attempt may be made each quest if a party member dies for some reason after the rest of the party has left/is in the process of leaving the quest. Rezzer/ability to raise must have been in the party and quest prior to the time of death. Standard raising policies apply.

  • QUEST CHAINS
    • The individual quests are considered separate for the purpose of determining what lvl they can be run at.
    • Exception: The Threnal quest chain counts as base lvl 9 because the invividual quest levels are strange.

  • SPOILING & BYPASSING TRAPS
    • Do not talk about an quest-related events that haven’t happened to your character yet. Even if you have ran it a million times. Respect the fact that other people may have never ran the quests before.
    • Directions should not be given out that can’t be reasoned with in-quest observation (e.g. asking party members to stand in certain spots for no discernible reason).
    • Do not enter quests with the intention of bypassing traps with prior knowledge.

  • RAIDS & EPIC
    • All of the above rules apply to raids and epic quests/raids.
